How to get a white background

  1. 1Stand about half a metre in front of a plain white or very light wall, facing a window.
  2. 2Have someone take the photo at eye level, leaving space around your head.
  3. 3Choose the photo here, keep White selected, and zoom out slightly if you want white space around you.

Questions

Does this remove the background?

Not yet. It fills empty edges with white. Removing a real background needs an AI model, which we may add later as an option that still runs on your device.

Why does my white wall look grey?

Phone cameras adjust to the light. Face a window in daylight and avoid shadows behind you; the wall then looks much whiter.

Light blue or white?

Use whatever your form asks for. Many forms ask for white or light blue; the tool offers both, plus light grey.
