Pick your photo, crop it, and download a JPG that is 15 KB or less, at the exact width and height your form asks for. The tool tries quality levels until the file is as good as it can be without going over 15 KB.

Fills only the space outside your photo when you zoom out or rotate. It doesn’t remove the background you were photographed against.

Tips for 15 KB

How to use it

  1. 1Enter the width and height your form asks for (pixels, or mm/cm/inch with DPI), or tap a common size.
  2. 2Set the maximum KB from the form, and a minimum if it has one.
  3. 3Choose your photo. Drag to place your face in the guide; pinch or use + and − to zoom.
  4. 4Check the result line, then press Download. The file is the exact size and never over the limit.

Questions

Will the file be exactly 15 KB?

It will be at or under 15 KB, as close to it as the image allows. We count 15 KB as 15,000 bytes, which passes whether the form counts a KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.

My photo is blurry at 15 KB. What can I do?

Lower the pixel size. A small photo at good quality looks better than a large one squeezed into 15 KB. Plain backgrounds and even light also help.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The resizing runs in your browser on your phone or computer. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is saved.
