Resize a photo to 12 KB
Pick your photo, crop it, and download a JPG that is 12 KB or less, at the exact width and height your form asks for. The tool tries quality levels until the file is as good as it can be without going over 12 KB.

Tips for 12 KB
- 12 KB is very small for a photo. Keep the size small too: around 150–200 px wide is usually enough for a face to stay clear.
- Crop tight to head and shoulders. A plain, light background compresses much better than a busy room.
- If the file still can’t fit, the tool tells you and you can lower the pixel size a little.
How to use it
- 1Enter the width and height your form asks for (pixels, or mm/cm/inch with DPI), or tap a common size.
- 2Set the maximum KB from the form, and a minimum if it has one.
- 3Choose your photo. Drag to place your face in the guide; pinch or use + and − to zoom.
- 4Check the result line, then press Download. The file is the exact size and never over the limit.
Questions
Will the file be exactly 12 KB?
It will be at or under 12 KB, as close to it as the image allows. We count 12 KB as 12,000 bytes, which passes whether the form counts a KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.
My photo is blurry at 12 KB. What can I do?
Lower the pixel size. A small photo at good quality looks better than a large one squeezed into 12 KB. Plain backgrounds and even light also help.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The resizing runs in your browser on your phone or computer. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is saved.
