Resize a photo to 300 KB

Pick your photo, crop it, and download a JPG that is 300 KB or less, at the exact width and height your form asks for. The tool tries quality levels until the file is as good as it can be without going over 300 KB.

Runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Tips for 300 KB

How to use it

  1. 1Enter the width and height your form asks for (pixels, or mm/cm/inch with DPI), or tap a common size.
  2. 2Set the maximum KB from the form, and a minimum if it has one.
  3. 3Choose your photo. Drag to place your face in the guide; pinch or use + and − to zoom.
  4. 4Check the result line, then press Download. The file is the exact size and never over the limit.

Questions

Will the file be exactly 300 KB?

It will be at or under 300 KB, as close to it as the image allows. We count 300 KB as 300,000 bytes, which passes whether the form counts a KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.

My photo is still too big at 300 KB. What can I do?

Lower the pixel size or crop tighter. If the form gives a pixel size, use exactly that; extra pixels only cost bytes.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The resizing runs in your browser on your phone or computer. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is saved.
